2017 MFAF Art Competition

"Summer's Grand Finale" by Loretta LaMothe

ANGEL FIRE, NM – Music from Angel Fire is thrilled to announce Loretta LaMothe’s “Summer’s Grand Finale’ “as the winner of the 3rd annual program cover competition. This year’s competition was open to full or part time residents of Colfax County. Jurors for the competition were Angie Coleman, Elizabeth Jose and Greg Moon, all prominent Taos artists.

The art work will be featured on the Summer Festival program book and will be on display with other pieces, all available for purchase throughout the festival at the Angel Fire Community Center.

The luscious Angel Fire Ski Mountain and colorful meadows below at the end of a particularly rainy summer was the inspiration for this art. “The unsurpassed beauty of Angel Fire and the entire Moreno Valley offer unlimited subject matter for any artist willing to observe and interpret!” Loretta LaMothe.
